Medford Celebrates, Inc. (“Celebrates”) and Medford Township have jointly announced plans to stage, on Thursday, July 3rd, the Township’s traditional INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS DISPLAY. For the third straight year, Medford Celebrates, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 2011 to raise funds and public support for major Medford Township public events requiring Township services, has advised the Township that it has again solicited sufficient funds to enable the Township to stage the event at NO cost to the municipality or its taxpayers.
Beginning on Monday, June 9, 2014 through Thursday, June 12, 2014 Main St. (County Route 541) will be under construction. The work zone will be between State Highway 70 and Trimble St. Work will begin each day at approximately 7:00 am and end at approximately 3:30 pm. During construction only northbound traffic will be allowed. To ensure public safety, southbound traffic will be detoured onto State Highway 70 to Hartford Rd. to Himmelein Rd and then back onto Stokes Rd. Detour signs will be posted. Additionally, there will be no parking along Main St. beginning on June 9th and ending on approximately June 12th to allow for this construction. Temporary no parking signs will be posted. Please be patient during this project and avoid the area if possible.
